Finland! Finland! Finland!

Yes, dearly beloved,

I'm writing to you from Finland, more precisely from the snow-covered town of Kuopio, where I am these days. And I chose English because this bast**d keyboard would have me mispelling a lot of words!

Anyway, I came here with a team to visit two Finnish schools which are supposed to be just the perfect role model schools for our Prime Minister and our beloved Education Minister; but on that I shall comment upon arrival, using my beloved mother language, through which I can express my innermost feelings of disgust and joy. So far, and I shall say this only once, I´m lovin' it!! Everybody in the project - http://moving.50webs.com/ - is great and so far it has been wonderful to see that we all share the same problems, hopes and worries. And that our precious geniouses at the Ministry of Education are dead wrong about scandinavian school models. And that our teachers are committed, hard-working and should be praised and cared for for what they do everyday with thousands of children and teens! Period!
